Free Site Delivery

Standard delivery fee of $89 will be added at checkout.

Regional Orders will be custom quoted. We will try to minimise costs by batching orders for customers in the same directions.

Pick up available for free from one of our warehouse locations, depending on products and availability.

Follow These Steps:

STEP 01)  Measure onsite the OVERALL lengths where you want your new DIY Fence to go. (Ensure to add dimensions for Gate Locations)

STEP 02)  Simply draw your fence out on a blank page, include gate locations

STEP 03)  Start Marking out the Center to Center Post Locations (aka CC) using the following dimensions:

  • Single Gate (975W)  (CC = 1080mm*) = 65mm Post + 20/25mm Hinge Gap + 975mm Gate + 20mm Latch Gap
  • Single Gate (2450W) (CC = 2555mm*) = 65mm Post + 20/25mm Hinge Gap + 2450mm Gate + 20mm Latch Gap
  • Double Gates (2x 2450W) (CC = 5025mm*) = 65mm Post + 40/50mm Hinge Gap + 2x 2450mm Gates + 20mm Latch Gap

STEP 04)
Next calculate the number of Fixed Panels you will need:

  • STD Panel (2400W) (CC = 2480mm) = 65mm Post + 15mm Gap + 2400mm Panel

STEP 05)  Now calculate all the parts required for your project:
  • For all straight sections simply divide the dimension between center of posts by 2480mm, if you have a decimal e.g. 3.4 you will need to round up to 4 Panels for that section
  • For every panel you will need to order 1x Bracket Kits
  • It’s recommended to use a minimum of 1 or 2 Anti-Tamper Screws per Bracket, Latch and Hinge
  • It’s recommended to order 1x Spare Pack of Tek Screws for your project, you’ll be surprised how many clients we’ve had drop, misplace or break Tek Screws therefore needing to stop, drive and buy more.
  • If you wish to lock your gates, then you will need to order one of the Heavy Duty Gate Kits

.

* Depending on the hinge used, this will change the gap required
⊕ Deluxe Self Close Hinges = 20mm Gap
⊕ Heavy Duty Steel Hinges = 25mm Gap

Post selection for security fences are based on the height of your security fence and whether you want to Bolt-Down or Cement In…

Bolt-Down = 2400mm Posts
Cement-In = (See below)

  • If you’re installing our 1800mm fencing on level ground, use our 2400mm Posts
  • If you’re installing our 2100mm high fence, use our 2700mm Posts.
  • Sloped Ground: If you need to install your fences on a slope , you may need to use a 2700mm Post and cut to size accordingly.

Typical Dimensions:

  • Typ Post hole size = 300x300x600mm (LxWxH)
  • Posts typically go in 500mm into post holes
  • Gap below Security Fence typical 50mm to 100mm
  • Panel Heights = 1800mm or 2100mm

The steps required to install your posts will change depending on the type of posts you wish to install (Bolt-Down or Cement-In)

TIP: The typical total gap between your post and your security fence panel should be between 5-15mm, When we install Security Fence Panels we like to have 5mm Gap both sides of the panel

STEP 01)  Start Marking out the Center to Center Post Locations (aka CC) using the following dimensions:

  • STD Panels (2400W) (CC = 2480mm) = 65mm Post + 15mm Gap + 2400mm Panel
  • Single Gate (975W)  (CC = 1080mm*) = 65mm Post + 20/25mm Hinge Gap + 975mm Gate + 20mm Latch Gap
  • Single Gate (2450W) (CC = 2555mm*) = 65mm Post + 20/25mm Hinge Gap + 2450mm Gate + 20mm Latch Gap
  • Double Gates (2x 2450W) (CC = 5025mm*) = 65mm Post + 40/50mm Hinge Gap + 2x 2450mm Gates + 20mm Latch Gap

STEP 02)  Set the heights (Height where your brackets will connect to your posts) on both ends using a string-line

TIP: We typically find having 2 levels (Top & bottom bracket) heights to be best, otherwise setting the bottom level first is easiest until you install the first & last posts…

STEP 03)  Start by installing & leveling your first and last posts ensuring your posts either gently touching the string-line or are 1-2mm away. (You will use these two posts as the guide for all other posts)

  • We recommend using a 2 way magnetic post level to install your posts (So much easier)
  • For cement-in posts you will need to secure & brace your posts level until the cement has hardened.

CHECK LEVELS
Always triple check your levels, Simply look down the surface of your posts to ensure all posts are inline with one another.

*For custom Panel widths you will need to cut down the panel to suit (super easy to do)

** For custom Gate widths you will need to use a STD Panel & Custom Gate Conversion Kits

Installing security panels are easy and its highly recommended for two people to install each panel as you will need to lift and hold panels in place while fixing in place the brackets.

STEP 01)  Using your bottom or top string-line (This string line level will be use to set the height of your brackets) mark along the posts where the string line touches the post (aka where the bracket will go)

TIP:  Installing On A Slope: If you mark all posts and the mark is higher on one end of the panel space, use the highest mark as the security fence panel will be installed level leaving a slightly bigger ground gap on the lower side

STEP 02)  Check dimensions and heights, if all is good install your first bracket. (Typical Ground to Panel Gap is 50-100mm)

STEP 03)  Quick test fit of your panel, place the panel in the bracket and have your assistant hold the panel level, next go round and mark the posts for your remaining bracket heights.

STEP 04) install the Top & Bottom brackets on one side of the post.
For the other side of the panel, slide the top & bottom brackets on ready to fit the panel into place, Then fit the panel into place

STEP 05)  Ensure the panel is level, now secure all other brackets into place.

and repeat with each panel ensuring you double check levels and heights.

The installation of our gates are easy, here are a few tips to help.

  • Use Timber Spacers (for the bottom) We recommend you have enough wood pieces to sit the gate at the right height.
  • We also use a Timber Straight Edge & Quick Clamps to hold the gate inline with the fence and posts.
  • When fitting & drilling the latches onto the posts and gate, use clamps to hold the gate in the exact position.
  • Make sure you have the right spacing around the gate for latches and hinges.

Our security fence panels and gates are constructed from heavy galvanized steel and then powder-coated black for durability and strength.

Accessories and hardware either come in Steel Construction or a special blend of polymer and Stainless Steel
